Most people when considering becoming a mentor think they have to be apart of an organization, wear a nametag, and make a long introduction or have many accolades. In reality mentorship matters so much and it's not always a formal occurrence. The term mentoring simply means "advise or train" that's not a hard thing to do when you are living everyday life. Those who have gone through a formal education, received a high school diploma, ged, or trade already have so much to offer a young person who is still getting an education. It's important to understand that no matter what your occupation is, what level of education you may have, it is possible for you to still be a very helpful and impactful mentor. You have something in you that can help another whether it be a life changing experience, formal training, or guidance on a time in your life that can help others. Never underestimate the impact you are able to make and know that all mentorship matters.
